Ross Cohen gets called in when the stakes are high, the territory is uncharted, and the gap
between where an organization is and where it needs to be is too complex for the team it has.
Over a career spanning nearly two decades, he has built and scaled businesses and the
revenue infrastructure that powers them across financial services, insurance distribution, and
consumer services, repeatedly stepping into situations defined by distribution complexity,
challenging stakeholder dynamics, product complexity, and heavy regulation.
Most recently, Ross served as Chief Operating Officer of Field Productivity at New York Life,
where he built and led a 40-person organization responsible for driving sales effectiveness
across a national field force of 12,000 agents and financial advisors. During his tenure, he took
GuideMe from proof of concept to enterprise platform and built NYL's first enterprise digital
sales platform.
Prior to New York Life, Ross was Vice President of Marketing and Analysis at Frontpoint
Security, where he built the company's digital marketing and analytics capabilities, helping grow
from $50M to $120M+ in ARR and doubling monthly sales volume. Before that, he served as a
general manager at Capital One, where he launched the Secured Card in the aftermath of the
great recession and scaled it to over one million customers, making it the company's highest
volume online credit product.
Ross has also built and sold two businesses of his own, a D2C publishing business exited at
approximately 40x invested capital and a performance marketing business exited at
approximately 15x invested capital.
He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, a JD from Harvard Law School, and a BA from
Amherst College, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
