John Andrukonis

John brings a combination of broad technical experience as an Enterprise Chief Architect and proven delivery expertise in technology strategy, digital transformation, and open source governance within large enterprise contexts. Over his extensive career, John has established himself as a transformative strategic executive and creative problem-solver who has delivered impactful, well-architected solutions in the financial services industry and beyond.

Most recently, John was the Chief Enterprise Architect at Fidelity Investments, where he led Fidelity's enterprise-wide architecture team and chaired the Technology Advisory Group. He also managed the Open Source Program Office driving an expanded focus on secure use, contribution, and sponsorship of Open Source software. John was tapped to lead some of the most challenging firm-wide solutions, most recently architecting Fidelity’s new real-time Fraud Detection Platform.

Before joining Fidelity, John served in several leadership roles at Capital One, including Enterprise Chief Architect, Head of Cloud Engineering, and Head of Digital Architecture. John led cloud engineering functions from lab/experimental state through full enterprise-wide adoption, and served as a member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Customer Advisory Board. He led architecture efforts for Capital One’s API Platform and award-winning mobile/web servicing platforms.

Prior to his time in financial services, John was a Managing Principal Engineer at The MITRE Corporation, advising federal executives on enterprise-wide technology solutions and strategies, to include transformation of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) individual tax processing platform and the integration of Veterans Affairs and Defense Electronic Health Records systems.

John is passionate about a lifelong learning approach to work and life, and enjoys time with his wife, family, and friends.

His 2026 goal is to complete the 29029 Everesting challenge – hiking 29,029 vertical feet in 36 hours – alongside his wife.
