Harsha Mokkarala is a rare blend of data scientist, go-to-market expert and executive leader, now building e:cue, an AI-driven business intelligence company. With over 20 years of experience in fintech, edtech, and data-driven revenue growth, he has transformed how businesses use data to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Harsha started his career in Financial services at Capital One, where he served as Senior Director of Online Marketing Strategy. He played a key role in modernizing the company’s digital marketing and customer acquisition strategy, pioneering the use of behavioral analytics to refine targeting, personalize customer interactions, and optimize media investments. His work helped Capital One transition into a data-first, digitally driven financial services powerhouse.
He then spent nearly a decade shaping the edtech industry at 2U, where he held multiple executive roles, including Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Data Scientist, and Chief Revenue Officer—sometimes simultaneously. As CMO, he redefined demand generation and digital marketing through AI and data science. As Chief Data Scientist, he scaled predictive analytics capabilities, applying machine learning to improve student experiences and optimize marketing spend. And as CRO, he helped drive 2U’s revenue growth tenfold, integrating AI-driven strategies across sales, enrollment, and business operations. His leadership positioned 2U as a leader in education technology, proving how data can transform business outcomes at scale.
Now, as Founder and CEO of e:cue, Harsha is focused on democratizing business insights through AI. At the core of e:cue is Cue™, an AI-powered predictive analytics agent designed to help businesses make smarter, data-driven decisions. His mission is to make cutting-edge analytics accessible, enabling companies to optimize their growth strategies with real-time intelligence.
Beyond his work at e:cue, Harsha sits on multiple boards and is at his best when he’s teaching and mentoring. A “recovering” CRO, CMO, and technologist, he continues to push the boundaries of AI-driven business strategy.
