Don Busick is an experienced executive with a strong track record of driving digital transformation and innovation, particularly within the financial sector. Over a career spanning more than two decades at Capital One, he's demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies, strategies, and operational improvements. He has led initiatives in areas like mobile and payment solutions, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and talent development.
Don started his career as a Director at America One, Capital One’s innovation venture into telephony in the 90’s. Don grew in his career at Capital One through positions of increasing responsibility spanning product, technology and operations, ultimately spearheading enterprise digital & data capabilities for Capital One. In his last role at Capital One, Don was the Executive Vice President, Digital & Data (equivalent of a Chief digital & data officer role).
Don has played a significant role in transforming Capital One to a digital first company that it is today, ultimately managing over 5000 associates, reflective of the importance of his role in the company. Don's impact is reflected in the fact that Capital One doubled digital adoption by customers during his tenure at Capital One, improving customer experience significantly while generating cost savings worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Don's team has won multiple JD Power awards for their work, including work on Eno, Capital One's branded enterprise digital assistant.
Beyond his corporate work, he actively engages in consulting and advising fintech startups. He also pursues personal interests in community engagement, including running a local music podcast and serving on the board of a nonprofit focused on autism support.
